Surfers most often ask us
about the prevention of Surfer's Ear. Surfer's ear is a condition known
as exostosis which is a bone growth inside the ear canal. Unfortunately,
the Sahara DryEar does not stop this condition from occurring. The only
thing that will stop it from happening is to stop surfing and/or stop exposing
your ears to the cold water and the cold wind. As we all know, giving up
surfing is just not realistic. Luckily, the Sahara DryEar can help you
with some of the side affects of surfer's ear. As the bone growth occurs,
the ear canal begins to close off and it hinders the ear's ability to drain
properly. That leaves you with water in the ear which is a terrible
nuisance. In addition, the trapped water is unclean and is the perfect
breeding ground for external otitis (aka Swimmer's Ear.) These conditions
are precisely what the DryEar was intended to combat. In just minutes you
can eliminate the trapped water and go about your day in comfort.
The truth of the matter is, every surfer has at one time or another tilted
their head to one side and knocked on the other to try and
dislodge the water that gets stuck in their ear. With the Sahara DryEar
rechargeable, warm air ear dryer, none of that is necessary. In just minutes,
the soothing warm air dries the ear canal and leaves you feeling clear headed
instead of water logged. Keep it in your glove box and dry your ears on
your drive home. Or if you live by the beach, keep it next to your shower
and dry your ears after you rinse off. Whatever. Just quit using
Q-tips and ear drops and dry your ears the safe and natural way, with warm, dry
air.
