The owners of Sahara, LLC are considering offers for the purchase of the warm air ear dryer patents. The patents are valid in 19 countries world wide. We have included some basic information below.
Patent History:
The warm air ear dryer was originally patented by Hamilton Collins II, M.D. who is a retired ear nose and throat doctor/surgeon. Prototypes were developed and produced. In clinical testing the ear dryer produced very successful results. In all cases the patients’ ear infections were healed and improved over a 60-day period. In order to protect the patents, a limited liability corporation was formed called Sahara LLC. Once in place, Dr. Collins then decided to invest in molds and inventory spending nearly $600,000 of his personal finances in the development of the product and the business itself. In order to further protect the patents, a separate LLC was formed that has handled all of the manufacturing, marketing and sales operations. The second company goes by the name Sahara Design and Marketing Group, LLC and has the exclusive license to manufacture, distribute and sell the ear dryer.
Company History:
In 2004, Sahara Design and Marketing Group, LLC manufactured the first 5000 units. We spent aggressively on advertising in order to make the launch of the new technology a success. Since that time we have produced an additional 47,000 units and sold them successfully bringing our total units manufactured and sold to over 52,000. Currently we have an inventory of approximately 1,700 units left to sell. We have successfully generated sales of $1,574,000.
